Just because the usual trick or treating, haunted house, or Halloween party you would ordinarily attend might be a no-go this year due to the very real and scary COVID-19 doesn’t mean costumes should get canceled.
This year, for the first time, fans of Dunkin’ don’t have to create their own brand-inspired garb, as they recently announced a partnership with Spirit Halloween stores launching a pair of coffee and doughnuts inspired costumes, the first officially licensed outfits in the brand’s history.
The pairing, perfect for both besties and couples, features a strawberry-frosted doughnut, with a matching headband. It’s paired with a costume modeled after the brand’s white coffee cup, lidded and emblazoned with the iconic, orange wordmark. Each ensemble is available now for pre-order as SpiritHalloween.com.
“Every Halloween, we see people creating their own Dunkin’ costumes to proudly show their passion for our brand,” said vice president of brand stewardship at Dunkin’ Drayton Martin in a press release. “Even though the holiday may look different this year, we know our fans will find ways to celebrate the spirit of the season, and we’re thrilled to team up with Spirit Halloween to bring our fans some fun and keep Halloween running on Dunkin’.”
While the world might run on Dunkin’, anyone wearing these snazzy costumes might want to keep it to a brisk pace at most, particularly when chased by an ax-wielding cannibal, as they appear to have a limited range-of-motion, especially the cup.
